Entering the world of blogs Aug 22
So after a year of my husband prodding me to blog, I'm finally giving it a try. And, I'm coming to realize that I'm a bit of a latecomer to the blogging world, much like I was in entering the world of Facebook (which I'm quite obsessed with at this point). So, here I am. I like to write more than I like to talk so I'm very sure that I will enjoy posting on The Joy of Grace.
Speaking of which...I decided to call my blog The Joy of Grace for 2 reasons. 1. On March 20th, 2007 at 5:03 pm, our Savannah Grace entered this world. A very much prayed for and prayed over baby, she has given us tremendous joy. Even in those tearful and overwhelming moments as I was learning to be a new mom (I'm still learning!), there was such joy in having this sweet and tiny blessing. 2. It seems the Lord continually shows me new ways in which I can cease striving and just enjoy Him. Enjoy the little things in life like early morning with a cup of coffee, a fun take-out dinner with Aaron (we're finding it much easier to opt for take out these days versus keeping Savannah happy for an hour or two in a restaurant), and playing a game with friends. Enjoy the big things in life like a newborn baby and answered prayer (unanswered prayer too). In all this enjoyment, I am realizing an aspect of God's grace. Grace: To simply enjoy Him and all the wonders (the happy ones and the sad ones) He lavishes on my days.
This blog will be an outpouring of the joy in my life....a little bit about the daily joys I experience and a little bit more about Savannah and our life with her.
