Wedding Bells Are Going to Ring... Sep 10

 I'm sure by now you have heard of the blessed matrimony that will take place between our two dear friends David Dawkins and Laura Robertson.  I remember about 2 years ago when David was sitting on our couch, a little confused how everything with Laura was going to work out as he was about to leave the country for two years.  The advice my husband gave to him?  "Go ahead and ask her David.  That way, you two can leave the country as man and wife."   

It didn't quite happen that way, but almost exactly two years later to the day that he sat on our couch contemplating, David did ask Laura to be his wife.  The Lord truly works in marvelous and faithful ways!

My fondest memories of Laura include:  her and Rebekah Ray's nun outfits they dressed in on our high school's spirt day entitled: What you want to be when you grow up...(I recall when we went for Senior lunch that day, the guy at the restaurant addressed Laura: "Thank you, sister" in all seriousness);  singing More Faithful and Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing  acapulco in Mississippi College's Prayer room; and girls' weekends with such phrases as "Give me a Bastra!" and  "All I know is that this is the way to Honey's condo at the beach" (both phrases inspired by our dear friend Neecie).  

I bless the Lord for calling these two faithful servants to one another and anticipate His great ways revealed in their marriage!
