Poppy Joy Dec 03

Many of you may be already following the sweet story of the Luces though their blog.  On Saturday, December 1, sweet Poppy Joy was born, so precious and so beautiful.

Aaron and I were actually visiting my parents in Missouri that day, and, sadly, our cell phones were not functioning.  Truly by a miricle, we were contacted at 9:56 that morning that Angie had gone into labor and was being taken almost that very moment into deliver this angel baby.  We made the decision to head back to Memphis in order to celebrate with our dear friends this precious one.

As we were driving through the hills of Arkansas that day, we recieved another phone call.  Poppy Joy had slipped from this fallen world into the hands of Jesus...from being cradled in her Mommy and Daddy's arms, she now was being cradled in the Savior's, whole and healthy.  And too, I can't help but believe that her Papa~beloved Dr. Adrian Rogers~sat down beside the feet of Jesus to welcome his great-granddaughter.

If I could adequately express in words how beautiful it has been to watch the Luces cherish this baby over the past months, and most recently, this weekend, I would.  I cannot.  Just know that I do not use the word beautiful lightly.  Angie and Nathan, I know that so many look at you and admire how strong you are.  I do as well.  But more than that, I admire your tears for your Poppy Joy.  For I belive they are precious in the sight of our Lord, and lifted up to Him as a sweet fragrance at His throne.

I encourage you to visit the Luces' blog, which is listed on this site.

"He has made everything beautfiul in its time... (Eccclesiastes 3:11)."
