Sweet Melanie Dec 05

Today marks what would have been Melanie's, Aaron's older sister,  37th birthday.

Another major event that happened during the month of November is that sweet Melanie was taken away from this crumbling earth to be with Jesus, where I believe she is talking up a storm, laughing, running, and jumping.  You see, for such a long time Melanie has not been able to do those things which I take for granted.  She was very medically fragile and her mind just could not comprehend so many processes that again, I take for granted.  Oh, how precious she was!  She had beautiful brown eyes that seemed to take in everything around her.  I remember Aaron's dad saying one time that it seemed like Melanie was talking to angels.  Just to look in her eyes, you would have believed that too.

And, although Melanie did not get to partake in so many things that you and I experience, her life was definitely not one big never, as also her dad wrote somewhere.  She incredibly impacted her family's life, bringing them to their knees in surrender.  Not only that, but as we were listening to others at her memorial service, I was in awe of how many ushered words of encouragment...only to say that Melanie's life was an encouragment to them and their family.

Melanie reminds me of eternity.  She reminds me that eternity is what this sometimes so ugly, sometimes so beautiful, but all the time wasting life is really all about.  And I am reminded on this day of her birth that eternity is where she is.  Her precious brown eyes taking in the Lord, in all His splendor and His majesty.

Dearest Laurin,

We woke this morning to read your precious words about Melanie.
They made us both cry and comforted us. We are so grateful to have you for our daughter-in-law!

We are also so blessed to have our granddaughter Savannah, who is every bit as sweet as her dear mother.
Just seeing her smile chases away grief somehow like perfect light will chase away darkness.

We love you,

Mamaboe & Papaboe
