This past Friday, we begun Savannah's birthday celebrations. A "friend" party that night, some fun yet not planned activities on her actual birthday (Thursday), and a "family" party this weekend at my parents should abundantly help us to "birthday" Savannah. I have not quite hit that bitter-sweet point yet where I get teary thinking that already one whole year has passed with our sweet girl. I'm sure it will come though...
I must add that if you look closely, you may notice a rash on Savannah's face. I about hit the floor in the doctor's office when I was told she has roseola, a virus that is caught in the air and causes fever then little red dots all over the body. I thought it was a form of the measles when I heard the word. Unfortunately, we found about what it was on Saturday, the day after the party, but thankfully, she was only contagious when she had the fever, which happened earlier in the week.
P.S. To "birthday" someone is to celebrate over them on their birthday and/or birthday week and I must give recognition to my sweet friend Neecie for teaching me this beloved term.
