The High Points...
- High Point Terrace Neighborhood~I love it! We've been contemplating moving as our family expands and our small but fabulous (at least to us....many would disagree that having a 1300 square foot house with 3 bedrooms/1 bath and it being over 60 years old is not so great...I adore it though) house seems to be getting smaller and smaller. But we just cannot bring ourselves to leave the neighborhood. Plus, you've got High Point Grocery (the best place to buy meat in town) and High Point Pizza (very yummy) right down the street from us.
- HIgh Point Coffee~kill me softly, but I'm not a Starbucks guru at all. I love High Point Coffee probably because it's one of the only coffee shops that is actually successful in the area and is not a Starbucks. It's still expensive but their mochas are delicious!
How do these "High Points" give the city hope? Simply but sweetly, they provide community.
The above picture is our house...a really old picture. We've done a bit of work to that huge flowerbed. My husband would say it probably looked better without the work we did because neither of us have a green thumb and azaleas are really hard to keep alive (or at least for us). Anyways, needless to say we've also killed a few more things in the front, but it looks about the same today. Home sweet home even with all of its woes.

Your house is beautiful! i love it. you should try Staygreen Azalea fertilizer. we've done that (combined with heavy watering) and it really does the trick.
Laura, I'll try it! We don't want to kill any more azaleas :*(...maybe my next major project for myself will be to learn how to "do" plants.
Your house looks so great =) And we love High Point Coffee, too. Even during pregnancy (and my aversions to all things coffee), I have actually enjoyed their mochas and hot chocolate. Thanks for the posts...you've inspired me to be a better blogger instead of a once-a-month-post gal.
i love your house!!!!
